Windows Activation Backup? - office xp activation

Hello, I am about to reinstall Windows on one of my computers, because it seems to be a virus to play with my system files, and I think that my hard disk is being accessed is screwed.

I am resolved under XP Professional with Service Pack 3.
I also use Microsoft Office 2007 (Student Edition)

My question is: Is there a way to my activation code for Microsoft applications (Office XP) to save or do I have to go through the process again?
I do not want big changes to my team probably only get a new hard drive to run Windows OFF.

Any help much appreciated.
I hate the trouble to go through the whole process seems a lot of new installation, and always at the end of the team for the activation of Microsoft, to name it by phone.
